Government
The City of Newark is working to provide better schools, better quality of life to Newarkers and working to better Newark as a whole. We have seen great changes and hopefully there will be more to come. Need information from Mayor Booker or Councilman Ramos or want to voice a concern or compliment. Post it here.

On Wednesday October 28th at 12:30 pm the swearing-in cermony for Newark's first LBGTQ Concerns Commision will take place at Newark City Hall. Two of the comissioners are residents of Forest Hill. This is a ground breaking event in this very diverse city. It is important to create "safe spaces" for everyone.
The commission will promote policies and awareness of issues concerning the cultural, social, economic, political, educational, health and general well being of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning individuals and their families.
Election Day Lesson: Being an incumbent and having millions at your disposal doesn't guarantee re-election. So long Jon and Loretta, I can't say you'll be missed. Those who claim they want to serve must perform or else they will meet the same fate.
